While the factory driveshafts work fine for unmodified JK's, once a lift is installed, the weak, factory drivelines are compromised due to the increased angles. Most owners begin to experience vibrations immediately after installing a lift kit. The most common problem encountered when running factory driveshafts on a lifted JK is found in the factory Rzeppa CV joints. These joints are fine for non-lifted, street driven vehicles, but additional lift and off-road use, will destroy these weak CV joints in a short matter of time. Typically, the rubber boots at the joint tear, causing contamination of the internal components, which inevitably results in the rapid deterioration of the joint. Lifted JK's often experience clearance issues with the transmission pan, which almost immediately results in a torn spline boot. One other issue encountered with the factory driveshafts is found at the weak rolled-seam welds connecting the CV joints to the shaft.
