To obtain accurate measurements for new driveline lengths, follow these guidelines:

The vehicle should be at its running height and resting on all four wheels. Insert the correct slip yoke into the rear of the transmission until it bottoms, then back it out 3/4 of an inch.

In this position the shaft length can be determined by measuring from the centerline of the front u-joint, to the centerline of the rear u-joint (dimension A). The slip yoke should be supplied to Coast Driveline to ensure proper balancing. (We stock slip yokes for most applications)

In the case of 2 piece drivelines. measure from the centerline of the front yoke to the centerline of the carrier bearing (dimension C). and from the centerline of the carrier bearing to the centerline of the rear yoke (dimension D).
